It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the “2nd International Veterinary Poultry Congress & Exhibition”. I would like to welcome you for your active presence and with great honor extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to all who contributed in organizing this scientific event for their valuable and indefatigable endeavors.
It is my great honor to announce that this congress will be held in honor of Dr. Ahmad Shimi, the distinguished Professor of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Tehran and one of pioneers in teaching and research on contagious diseases of animals and poultry in Iran. I hope god bless him.
At present, nutrition, food security and enhancing development indexes, have remarkable importance at international level and special platform has been allocated to poultry industry and its development. Considering the need of human beings for accessing high quality food stuff and producing these resources with the least harm for securing the society's health indexes, the remarkable role of poultry veterinarians is pronounced.
I would like to thank the scientific and organizing committees for their great efforts to program and host this event, the sponsors who made this event possible, and especially thank to Dr. Aliasghar Akbari, the Congress Secretary; Dr. Seyed Mostafa Peighambari, the Chairman of Congress Scientific Committee; and Dr. Siamak Goharkhay, the Congress Executive Manager.
We appreciate the warm presence of all honorable scientists and researchers for presenting their latest scientific findings and exchanging knowledge at this congress. We sincerely hope that in the future, with continuing of this trend, more glorious events of this kind will be held in our beloved country, Iran. I wish a very pleasant stay and a fruitful congress for all distinguished guests and participants.
